#Accessories That Thrill // Week 26 Recap
Hello there! Did you miss me and the post?! I certainly did.. lately I’ve been working on some new looks, expansions and looking for some new inspiration. My break was needed but I’m back and ready to share with you some new clients with their accessory selections:
Hsinyu Chu Contemporary Jewelry
I was blessed enough to fine this designer from a magazine I was looking through. I was interest in submitting my work and I was so blown away from this bracelet, I had to find out who was the designer!
I looked her up and saw her collection and boy was I blown away by her artistry and inspiration for creating accessories – the collection is a beautiful innovative line for individuals who want to wear art as their accessory. And I couldm’t help but to keep her in my rolodex for future looks.
Since the last quarter is about holiday parties, I’ve gotten a lot of inquires in regards to dressing clients for parties. One female client wanted to keep things very simple but wanted a statement piece. Her ears were not pierced so the earring thing was OUT… the next go to accessory I recommended was bracelets. I was a bit hesitant on showing her this look so I asked her, how would she be opposed to dramatic bracelets that will be the life of the party – she was actually excited about it and was open to any of my suggestions. So I showed her this exact image since she is going for a similar look for her job’s holiday party. And she loved everything about it – she was afraid I was going to show her something colorful and that wasn’t the look she was going for. I informed her, no need to worry, I paid attention to you and your style before even mentioned it. The bracelets turned out amazing for her and she couldnt be any happier.
I’ve been spotted this brand for quiet so time now. I really love how this brand fuses innovative architecture and fashion; so what better way to utilize this concept with a client in the architecture industry!
I had fun creating his look, he was trying to be fun, festive and fashionable at his holiday party. He just graduated this year and his dream intern became his job and is just a joyful person because of that. Just from hearing his story, that made me go an extra mile for his look. This tie was the first thing that came to mind and I showed him before our meeting was over and he immediately wanted to purchase it right then and there – from there he gave me complete control of his look from head to toe. Most males are easy to dress but this one really gave me some creative fuel on his look that made him look amazing. I’m happy he hired me as his stylist.
When I say I had to control myself looking at this website, I really had to take a break and get back to really and realize I am shopping for my client NOT myself.
This client was similar to another female client I had, who was also wearing all black and wanted an accessory to make her look pop due to some of her insecurities. I’ve never experienced her specific experience but I certainly am experienced in selecting a head-turning accessory that will change the attention to THAT – and that is exactly what I did when I showed her Begada. This line carries a lot of culturally-inspired pieces that are BOLD and take little to none efforts for you to make it look good ; I selected the ‘Pristine Earcuff’ because I wanted her face to be the focus and less attention to the bottom portion of her body – which is actually what she wanted and was extremely happen with the results.
I live for the color of this hat, green is my favorite color – if you really want to be specific I love lime (that’s why its in my branding) . I don’t know what it is about the color green but I never get tire of it. So when I saw this accessory, it was an undeniable attraction I could not avoid.
My client and I had an immediate bond because we both like the color green. He wanted to wear something green for his date (ohh -la-la ) and he informed me he was attracted to my styling more so because I had green in my branding and website (lmfao I love it and felt a special connection THANKS). So he is a super laid back guy,and I thought this green would look great for him. It’s not too much and its not too flashy and he can wear it with anything! He may also like this brand since they have a nice selection to pick from and they also do customized fedora hats – which I think is pretty cool for a brand to have. We had to customize the hat due to the hat size but I am looking forward to his look with his date and I’ll keep you guys in touch .
